Dog ownership overall is the key celebration on National Dog Day. This is important for the ownership of all breeds of dogs, whether they are purebred or not. Is your dog your best friend? Part of your family? Then they deserve the honorable respect of the celebration on their own special holiday!
The development of this holiday works to embrace the opportunity for all dogs to live a happy, safe, and abuse-free life. And, as a loving dog owner, you have many ways to celebrate this holiday and offer a great deal of protection. Dogs give their owners beloved companionship, helping to keep you safe and also aiding many in need due to their disabilities.
For National Dog Day, there is a great deal to consider for all mixed breeds, pure breeds, and mutts, no matter what animal club is referenced. There is the American Kennel Club (AKC) that supports the broad lifestyle of official breeds. Additionally, local pet clubs support the purpose of the National Dog Day Foundation, looking beyond a breed and working with a goal of rescuing 10,000 dogs per year.
